7th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting

On July 21, 2023, Prof. Banchong Mahaisavariya, M.D., President of Mahidol University, together with Dr. Wiwat Rojanapithayakorn, M.D., Advisor to the TUN-HPN Committee; Asst. Prof. Dr. Supaporn Songpracha, Deputy Executive Director of AUN-HPN and other TUN-HPN Committee attended the 7th Thai University Network for Health Promotion Network Committee Meeting. On this occasion, Prof. Dr. Narin Hiransuthikul, M.D., Chair of the TUN-HPN Committee for the year 2023 and Vice President for Strategic Monitoring and Assessment, Planning, Budgeting and Well-being, Chulalongkorn University presided over the meeting at Meeting Room 203, Chamchuri Building 4, Chulalongkorn University and via Zoom Meeting Platform.

At the meeting, the TUN-HPN Committee jointly congratulate Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chawin Chantharasenawong, Vice President for Internationalization, King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi as KMUTT recently became a new associate member of AUN-HPN. The certificates of the Healthy University Rating System 2023 were also given to KMUTT and Chulalongkorn University as both universities received 4-star rating in last year’s assessment.

Highlighted topics of discussion were as follows: 1) AUN-HPN past activities 2) Progress report on the health promotion implementation from each TUN-HPN node 3) Invitation to participate in the Healthy University Rating Systems (HURS) 2023 between 15 August - 16 November 2023 4) Invitation to participate in the HURS workshop: “Improving Healthy University Implementation based on Healthy University Rating System (HURS)” 5) Invitation to participate in the upcoming AUN-HPN International Advisory Committee Meeting in November 2023 6) Preparation of the AUN-HPN database

Operations of the Thai University Network for Health Promotion Committee (TUN-HPN) was funded by Thai Health Promotion Foundation (ThaiHealth) to support universities in Thailand to develop their potential and become leaders in health promotion. In addition, the AUN Healthy University Framework (HUF) can be implemented thoroughly among the Thai University in order to achieve its goal of becoming a "Healthy University" and resulting in sustainability of good health in the community. The TUN-HPN Committee consists of 6 main universities, namely Burapha University, Chiang Mai University, Chulalongkorn University, Khon Kaen University, Mahidol University and Prince of Songkla University to jointly drive health promotion policies as well as to expand the network both domestically and internationally. The TUN-HPN Meeting is scheduled to be held every 3 months.
