On 8 September 2026, the ASEAN University Network – Health Promotion Network (AUN-HPN) Secretariat, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Piyapong Janmaimool, Deputy Director for Strategy and International Relations, ASEAN Institute for Health Development, Mahidol University, and Deputy Executive Director of the AUN-HPN Secretariat, held a meeting with representatives from Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia, via an online platform. The delegation from Universitas Airlangga was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sri Widati, Head of the Airlangga Health Promotion Center (AHPC) and Asst. Prof. Dr. Nurina Fitriani, ST The Secretary of Airlangga Community for Sustainability and Impact (LPMB).
The meeting was held in preparation for the 11th International Advisory Committee and 5th Health Promotion International Conference, under the theme “One Health–Based University Health Promotion Strategies for Improving Healthy Lifestyle Behaviors on Campuses,” which will take place from 14–16 October 2026 in Surabaya, Republic of Indonesia.
Both sides discussed the selection process for abstracts submitted to the AUN-HPN Youth Projects on Health Promotion, which provides an opportunity for students from various countries to submit their work on health promotion. Selected projects will receive scholarship support from Universitas Airlangga to participate in and present their work at the conference. This initiative represents an important activity to promote the participation of youth and students at the international level and foster the exchange of knowledge and experiences in health promotion among universities.
